C-section Scars

If you have been through a caesarian birth you will know that there is a lot of recovery needed, you will have been through major surgery and told to rest for 6 weeks, but you have a newborn baby to look after so it's almost impossible to do.

For some, a c-section scar will heal well on its own and you may never be affected by it. For others, there could be infection, reopening of the scar or excess scar tissue caused by doing too much too soon. All of these things can have an impact on how the scar looks and feels even years later.

I have treated ladies who simply don't like the look of their scar and we will work on reducing the adhesions that create the 'overhang' to the scar. We can also improve the texture and help to even out the scar if needed.

I have also treated ladies whos scars are causing problems with movement e.g. they feel a pull on the scar as they move where adhesions have formed between the scar tissue and healthy tissue which we can also address with treatment, stretches and exercises.
